End of Life Care Support—Beyond Hospice

Death is something we all face, but you don’t have to face it unprepared or alone.

As a death doula, I offer compassionate, non-medical support to individuals and families before, during, and after the dying process.

I create space for honest conversations about death, help you think through what matters most, and support you in making choices that reflect your values, wishes, and the way you want to be cared for.

You don’t have to carry it all alone.

As we approach the end of their life, there can be so much to carry—grief, fear, exhaustion, uncertainty, and the pressure to make decisions when you may not feel ready.

As a Death Doula (or End of Life Companion), I am here to bring calm into that space.

I offer holistic, non-medical support that can include emotional and spiritual care, help with planning and reflection, legacy work, and advocating for your loved one’s wishes and dignity.

I work alongside hospice and your care team, allowing them to focus on medical care while I help you and your family navigate the rest.

Together, we will make sure that your loved one feels seen, heard, and honored; and that you feel a little more supported, grounded, and prepared for the journey.

With a healthcare background in crisis support and anxiety treatment, I understand the complexities families face and provide support that is grounded, respectful, and values-aligned.

End-of-life planning is an act of love—for yourself and for the people who will walk beside you.

Why End-of-Life Planning Matters

Planning for the end of life isn’t about giving up or focusing on death.

It’s about making room for what matters most while you’re still here.

When your wishes are clear and your loved ones know what matters to you, there can be less confusion, conflict, and uncertainty during an already difficult time. Planning can give you more choice and peace of mind—and give your loved ones the confidence to honor your wishes when you may no longer be able to speak for yourself.

A Living Funeral is a meaningful gathering held while you’re still alive. A chance to pause, reflect, and celebrate your life with the people who matter most.

Together, we create a personalized experience that gives your loved ones the opportunity to share their memories, gratitude, stories, love, and hopes with you while you’re here to receive them.

This can be a beautiful space to:

  • Celebrate your life. Honor the experiences, people, lessons, and moments that have shaped you.

  • Hear what often goes unsaid. Create space for loved ones to express their love, appreciation, and gratitude.

  • Reflect on your legacy. Explore what you’ve given, what you’ve learned, and what you want to leave behind.

  • Create meaningful memories. Gather the people you love for an experience you can all carry with you.

  • Make peace and deepen connection. Offer opportunities for forgiveness, healing, and heartfelt conversation.

There is no one right way to have a Living Funeral. It can be quiet and intimate, joyful and celebratory, spiritual, creative, or a little bit of everything.

This is your life. Your people. Your story. Your opportunity to be witnessed, celebrated, and loved—while you’re here to feel it.

Death over Dinner consultation

Good food. Honest conversations. Deeper connection.

Talking about death isn’t always easy, but it can bring us closer to the people we love and help us make more of the time we have together.

Death Over Dinner is an opportunity to bring people together to talk about death, share what matters most, and say the things that often go unsaid.

During this consultation, we’ll plan a meaningful gathering that feels right for you and your guests—from shaping the conversation to choosing the meal. Whether you’d like to cook, have me prepare the food for an additional fee, or arrange catering, we’ll bring your vision to life.

Because talking about death isn’t just about dying. It’s about how we live, love, and show up for each other while we’re here.

Why Choose Gari?

Choosing a doula is a deeply personal decision — you're inviting someone into a sacred journey.

Death is one of life’s most tender transitions, and no one should have to navigate it without care, support, and understanding.

My work is about making space for the conversations we avoid, honoring the wishes and dignity of the person who is dying, and helping families feel more grounded in the face of the unknown. From planning and advocacy to legacy work and grief support, I help bring clarity to the chaos and connection to the moments that matter most.

This isn’t about making death easy. It’s about making sure there’s room for Love, choice, and humanity through it all.
